We supply cold rolled carbon steel square bars in SPCC grade, available in sizes ranging from 6mm to 50mm square cross-section. SPCC (Steel Plate Cold Commercial) is a Japanese standard grade equivalent to commercial quality cold rolled steel, offering excellent surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and consistent mechanical properties. These square bars are specifically manufactured for construction applications requiring precise geometry, clean edges, and reliable structural performance.
Cold rolled processing delivers superior surface quality and tighter tolerances compared to hot rolled equivalents, making these bars ideal for exposed structural elements, machined connections, architectural frameworks, and precision fabrication where aesthetics and fit-up are important.

Product Features
Superior Dimensional Accuracy: Cold rolling achieves tight tolerances and consistent square geometry, reducing fitting gaps and welding preparation time.
Excellent Surface Finish: Smooth, bright, scale-free surface ideal for exposed architectural applications and direct painting or coating.
Good Formability: SPCC's low carbon content (typically ≤0.12%) ensures excellent bending, notching, and moderate drawing capability.
Reliable Weldability: Compatible with all common welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and resistance welding.
Cost-Effective Construction Grade: Commercial quality steel provides adequate strength for non-critical structural members at competitive pricing.
Straightness Control: Cold rolling and precision finishing deliver superior straightness compared to hot rolled bars.
Construction Applications
Architectural Frameworks: Window and door frames, curtain wall supports, decorative trim, and exposed structural grids
Light Structural Supports: Bracing members, purlins, girts, and secondary framing in steel buildings
Machinery Bases: Equipment mounting rails, machine tool beds, and conveyor support frames
General Fabrication: Gusset plates, connection brackets, base plates, and welded sub-assemblies
FAQ
Q: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: Standard MOQ is one metric ton per size. For mixed-size orders or trial quantities, please contact us for flexible arrangements. Full container loads (approximately 25–28 MT) qualify for best per-kilogram pricing.
Q: Can SPCC square bars be hot-dip galvanized?
A: Yes. SPCC can be hot-dip galvanized for enhanced corrosion resistance in outdoor construction applications. However, the silicon and phosphorus content should be controlled to prevent excessive zinc coating growth (Sandelin effect). We can supply silicon-killed or aluminum-killed steel optimized for galvanizing upon request.
Q: Can you supply square bars with rounded corners or chamfered edges?
A: Yes. We can supply sharp-cornered square bars for flush connections, or bars with slightly rounded corners (typically R0.5–R2mm) for improved paint adhesion and reduced stress concentration. Chamfered edges are also available for welding preparation.
