Aluminum-zinc coated steel coils represent a significant advancement in coated steel technology, combining the superior properties of aluminum, zinc, and silicon to create a material with exceptional corrosion resistance, thermal reflectivity, and long-term durability. First, hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel strip substrates undergo rigorous surface treatment through a multi-stage pretreatment system—including degreasing, rinsing, and pickling—to thoroughly remove impurities and ensure optimal coating adhesion. The treated strip then enters a continuous hot-dip coating line, passing through an annealing furnace before immersion into a molten bath maintained at approximately 600°C. This bath is precisely formulated with 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. Upon removal from the molten bath, high-pressure air knives remove excess coating, precisely controlling the final coating thickness to the specified weight, typically ranging from 50 to 275 grams per square meter. This coating combines the barrier protection properties of aluminum with the sacrificial cathodic protection function of zinc. After cooling and inspection, the coated strip is wound into master coils weighing 3 to 15 metric tons, ready for direct distribution or further processing.

Aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets offer significant performance advantages over traditional galvanized products. The tough oxide layer formed by the aluminum component provides exceptional atmospheric corrosion barrier protection, while the zinc delivers electrochemical protection at cut edges and scratches, creating a self-healing mechanism that prevents rust propagation. Comparative studies indicate that under equivalent environmental conditions, the service life of aluminum-zinc coatings is 2 to 4 times longer than that of conventional galvanized coatings, demonstrating particularly outstanding performance in highly corrosive marine, industrial, and high-humidity environments.

The dimensional range of galvanized steel coils is comprehensive, with thicknesses typically spanning from 0.12 mm to 4.0 mm. Common commercial specifications in stock include 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2.0 mm. Width ranges from 600mm to 2000mm, with 914mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1219mm, and 1250mm being the most commonly used standard widths to maximize material utilization in downstream processing. Coil inner diameters are standardized at 508mm or 610mm to accommodate most processing equipment; coil weights range from 3 tons to 15 tons.

Galvanized steel coil applications span virtually every sector of modern industry, favored for its unique combination of corrosion resistance, formability, and cost-effectiveness. Within the construction sector—its largest market segment—galvanized steel is extensively used for metal roofing panels, wall cladding, roll-up doors, structural framing components, and building elements requiring long-term durability and low maintenance. The material's exceptional performance in coastal and industrial environments makes it an ideal choice for infrastructure projects such as bridges, water treatment facilities, power stations, and transportation hubs. The home appliance industry heavily relies on galvanized steel for manufacturing refrigerator backs, air conditioner housings, washing machine components, and microwave parts. Its outstanding corrosion resistance and paintability ensure products endure harsh household environments. Applications in the automotive and transportation sectors encompass body panels, trailer panels, chassis components, and commercial vehicle structures, where weight reduction, durability, and corrosion protection are paramount. Industrial and agricultural sectors utilize galvanized steel for equipment enclosures, storage tanks, grain silos, and livestock housing, leveraging its resistance to chemicals, fertilizer corrosion, and environmental erosion.

Our comprehensive processing capabilities span the entire galvanized steel value chain, from sourcing premium raw materials compliant with international standards such as ASTM A792, JIS G3321, and EN 10215, to precision slitting and cut-to-length processing, as well as providing advanced manufacturing services including laser cutting, stamping, bending, and assembly. By maintaining an extensive inventory covering all thicknesses, widths, and coating weights, and by controlling the entire processing chain, we deliver custom-engineered aluminized steel solutions for diverse application environments. This ensures optimal performance, manufacturing efficiency, and long-term value.
