SPCC cold-rolled carbon steel coils are renowned for their exceptional surface finish, stringent dimensional accuracy, and outstanding mechanical properties, specifically engineered for complex forming processes. The production of custom SPCC steel coils involves multiple precision metallurgical steps: First, hot-rolled coils are carefully selected and subjected to continuous acid pickling to thoroughly remove stubborn mill scale, revealing a clean, uniform substrate. The pickled coils then enter high-speed tandem cold rolling mills, where they are rolled to final thickness specifications at ambient temperatures—typically ranging from 0.12mm to 3.0mm for standard applications, with custom thickness tolerances achievable to ±0.02mm precision. The resulting “full-hard” coils exhibit superior strength but limited ductility, necessitating subsequent critical annealing treatment. Our facility employs both Continuous Annealing Lines (CAL) and Batch Annealing Furnaces (BAF): CAL processes strip rapidly and uniformly in controlled atmosphere furnaces at 650-750°C; while BAF is suited for large coil batch production, achieving uniform annealing through extended static heat treatment cycles. This recrystallization annealing process restores material plasticity and formability, eliminates internal stresses, and develops a softened, ductile microstructure—laying the foundation for demanding stamping and deep drawing operations.

The final deformation stage is annealing rolling (also known as skin pass rolling). This process achieves a slight reduction of 0.5% to 3.0%, imparts a precise surface roughness (Ra value between 0.2 and 1.5 micrometers), optimizes flatness, and eliminates yield point elongation. This prevents the formation of tensile strain marks during subsequent forming operations.

SPCC cold-rolled steel coils, manufactured to customer specifications, are used as an important component in a wide range of industries, including automotive, home appliances, electronics, and aerospace. In the automotive industry, SPCC and its high-strength grades are widely used in body panels, door structures, hoods, chassis components, and parts requiring high-precision forming. Its high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent formability, and dimensional stability enable lightweight, corrosion-resistant automotive designs with superior aesthetics. The appliance and consumer goods sector is one of the main markets for SPCC. It is widely used for exterior cladding, interior panels, appliance housings, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, and dishwashers. Its smooth, uniform surface is an ideal base for high-gloss powder coating, while its excellent flow properties meet the requirements of complex, multi-layer shapes. In the electronics and electrical equipment industry, SPCC has now become an essential material due to its high rigidity, tight thickness tolerance, and excellent electromagnetic shielding capability. making it suitable for cleanrooms, server racks, computer cases, electrical enclosures, and instrument panels. In the construction and infrastructure sector, cold-pressed steel sheet has become an essential material for roof panels, wall cladding materials, partitions, door and window frames, as well as structural components. These sectors have very strict demands on dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Furthermore, SPCC is the raw material for the following coating processes, serving as the base for electro-galvanized steel sheets (SECC), hot-dip galvanized steel sheets, and pre-painted steel sheets. (PPGI/PPGL), its use has also been expanded to highly corrosive environments and the field of decorative architecture.
